From the 'Painter's Manual' of Dionysius of Fourna
In the 1700's Dionysius, a monk, lived on Mount Athos.
As a self taught painter, throughout his life he created various iconographic depictions of events from the Bible, Martyrdoms of the saints, and visualizations of the spiritual life.
Before his death, he compiled what he had learned into a manual for future iconographers.
Within this manual, is an excerpt describing the spiritual reality of the world we inhabit entitled "The Vain Life of the World"
Orthodox artist William Egan has brought this description to life.

Wood Frame
Wood hanging hardware with magnetic connectors and a faux-seude hanger
Canvas substrate
A long-lasting alternative to paper posters

The concept is beautiful hut the craftmanship on the item I received was a bit poor. Jagged edges on the cuts, loose strining. The print was not properly mesaured to fit the fram. The frame was not nearly wide enough to cover the whole thing and half of the top letters were covered by the frame. Ultimately, I think I was expecting hand crafted but this seems more like cheaper machine work.
May God have mercy on us!
Looks good, easy to put together and arrived with no damage.
